We can construct a FIFA Quality 3G football pitch for your school. 3G surfaces are extremely durable, so you can use them throughout the year, in any weather, which is ideal for a school football pitch.

3G Rugby Pitch


Like 3G football pitches, 3G rugby pitches are hard-wearing and suitable for use in all weather conditions. We can build a 3G artificial rugby pitch for your school that meets World Rugby standards.

Water-Based Hockey Pitch

falmouth school

Falmouth School

Location: Falmouth, Cornwall

Project Type: 3G Football Pitch Construction

Goal: To install a new 3G artificial grass pitch and sports hub, consolidating the school sports facilities.

Results: McArdle Sport Tec installed a full-size floodlit 3G football pitch close to the school building, with supporting access paths, storage containers and car parking facilities. The new pitch is used by both school pupils and the wider community.

st andrews prep school

St Andrews Prep School

Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex

Project Type: Hockey Pitch Construction

Goal: To construct a new artificial hockey pitch that met International Hockey Federation standards.

Results: Using TigerTurf UK’s EvoPro carpet, McArdle installed a new pitch, including drainage, a shock pad, and a tarmac layer underneath. The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, formally opened the pitch, commenting on the “incredible facilities”.

St John’s School

Location: Marlborough, Wiltshire

Project Type: MUGA Construction

Goal: To construct a MUGA consisting of six brand new tarmacadam tennis courts.

Results: McArdle installed six courts, selecting different surfaces for each court depending upon the primary usage (tennis or netball). St John’s Headmaster, Dr Hazlewood, commented that the courts would be “available for use by community groups during evenings, weekends and school holidays, giving a real boost to the provision of sports facilities in the town.”

Plympton Academy

Location: Plympton, Plymouth

Project Type: 3G Football Pitch Construction

Goal: To build a much-needed 3G facility after many training sessions and games had been cancelled due to hazardous playing conditions.

Results: Working in partnership with TigerTurf, McArdle Sport Tec constructed a new 3G football pitch and additional MUGA, complete with LED floodlighting. The facility was officially opened by former Plymouth Argyle player, Ian Stonebridge.
