McArdle Sport Tec successfully delivered a high-quality 3G rugby pitch installation for King’s House School, located within its 35-acre sports ground in Chiswick, London.
Founded in 1946, King’s House School required a high-performance artificial rugby pitch surface that met both FIFA Quality and World Rugby Regulation 22 standards, ensuring durability and safety.
Completed in 2023, the 3G rugby pitch project required a fully compliant artificial turf carpet tailored to the school’s sporting needs. The facility now supports year-round use, enhancing both training and competitive opportunities for students.
A key aspect of this project was its execution within a live environment. McArdle Sport Tec are highly experienced in operating on occupied sites, including schools and leisure facilities. Throughout the build, strict safeguarding protocols were maintained to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students, staff, and visitors. Our team, including subcontractors, demonstrated professionalism and awareness while working in a busy, public-facing setting, carefully managing site logistics whilst maintaining clear lines of communication throughout the installation.
Health, safety, and quality were central to delivery; McArdle Sport Tec hold multiple industry recognised accreditations, including CHAS and Acclaim under the Safety Schemes in Procurement. We are also Constructionline Gold (PAS91) certified, FIH Field Builder accredited, and a member of the Sport And Play Construction Assoiation (SAPCA).
