McArdle Sport Tec were appointed to build a brand new full-size 3G football pitch at Jenner Park stadium.
Towards the end of 2015, we were selected by the Vale of Glamorgan Council to construct a new all-weather pitch at Jenner Park stadium, the home of Barry Town United.
The new pitch had meet FIFA Quality standards for professional football. Due to the specific requirements and the number of hours the pitch will be played on we carefully selected TigerTurf’s Soccer Real 50mm pile height 3G monofilament synthetic surface.
Our construction progress was followed by many of Barry Town United’s fans and players on Twitter which created a buzz of excitement. During the build we unveiled a jug which had been buried under the old pitch, this has now been restored and sits proudly in the club rooms.
Jenner Park Stadium’s new pitch has been used by many teams since the opening just weeks ago, including Barry Town United FC, Barry Town United Disability FC and many youth and children’s teams. One of the advantages with playing on a 3G pitch is that it can be used in all-weather scenarios.
We have heard that many goals have been scored already at Jenner Park, we hope the good luck continues!
“We can’t wait to get on the new Jenner Park 3G pitch. A fantastic 3G development that will benefit many.”
