3G FOOTBALL PITCH REFURBISHMENT COMPLETED AT CYNCOED CAMPUS
After a competitive tendering process Cardiff Metropolitan University and Managing Consultants GeoTurf Ltd appoint McArdle Sport Tec to fulfil the artificial sports pitch resurfacing works.
We were thrilled to hand over the recently refurbished 3G football pitch at Cyncoed Campus for Cardiff Metropolitan University which took 4 weeks to complete.
McArdle Sport Tec have a historical professional working relationship with Cardiff Metropolitan University, which extends beyond the 3G football Pitch; in 2017 we reconstructed their six lane 400m athletics track with the inclusion of a 3G World Rugby Reg 22 pitch infield, prior to this, McArdle also resurfaced the existing hockey pitch in 2014.
Our team know the campus facilities particularly well, we were delighted to return after 8 years to refurbish the 3G artificial FIFA Quality Pro pitch which McArdle Sport Tec originally constructed in 2014.
The redundant TigerTurf Soccer Real XQ carpet was uplifted, then replaced with another TigerTurf FIFA Quality Pro product: Atomic Pro 50. McArdle Sport Tec have also installed Atomic Pro 50 at Dorchester Town FC and Chelmer Valley High School.
The redundant carpet was disposed responsibly through a sustainable and environmentally considerate resolution through one of our well-established sub-contractors, avoiding any product ending up in landfill.
Our clients Cardiff Metropolitan University were pleased with the completed 3G football pitch and furthermore impressed with the minimal disruption and impact imposed within the venue including the minimal downtime due to the efficient contractual management from McArdle’s team.
This 3G Pitch facility has received the FIFA Quality Pro certification; to date there are currently only 36 pitches across Great Britain recorded with this status.
