MCARDLE SPORT TEC SELECTED TO CONSTRUCT A BRAND NEW 3G PITCH AT UNIVERSITY’S CYNCOED CAMPUS.
The University sought a premier sports surface that would maintain peak performance in demanding weather conditions, withstand heavy usage, and be suitable to host competitive games.
Working closely with our manufacturing partner TigerTurf UK, we carefully chose FIFA Quality Turf Soccer Real 50XQ to be laid on top of a 15mm in-situ rubber shock pad for the new 111m x 74m pitch. The synthetic sports surface was designed to offer a safe and authentic ball/surface and player/surface interaction, which was a critical requirement for Cardiff Metropolitan.
The project was completed with the addition of a new 2.5m high fence and floodlighting system.

The artificial pitch installation was completed with the addition of a new 2.5m high fence and floodlighting system.
