BATH RFC – FARLEIGH HOUSE
Farleigh House, home of Bath Rugby Club’s training ground, appointed McArdle Sport Tec to construct a new artificial 3G rugby pitch.
We were very pleased to have been involved in the construction of a new artificial 3G rugby pitch at Farleigh House. The new 3G pitch was to be a great addition to Bath Rugby Club’s existing training facilities.
The project brief was to design and build an IRB certified rugby pitch. For this, we carefully chose TigerTurf’s Total Turf 65mm 3G carpet, which we laid upon an engineered macadam pitch base and a 15mm in-situ shock pad.
We completed the construction within the given 10 week contract period, and within the specified budget.
David Reed, the Estate Manager of Farleigh House, stated, “We were given the task of creating a 3G pitch to add to the training facilities of Bath Rugby Club here at Farleigh House. McArdle Sport Tec gave us a very competitive quotation and despite challenging terrain and weather conditions completed the job within the agreed time scale. Everyone agrees that the finished product looks superb! We were very impressed with the whole team ably led by David Darnell.”
This project was overseen by the specialist sports pitch consultants, STRI.
