“It was great this summer to see the construction of the new 3G football pitch in Slades Park. This long-awaited facility which is on the site of the Winton & Glenmoor Academy has been funded by the Football Foundation, Active Dorset, Talbot Village Trust and the Academy.

The construction work has been skilfully delivered by McArdle Sport Tec through the framework partnership with Tiger Turf and RLF and at Active Dorset we were very impressed with the overall management and delivery of the project. The pitch simply grew out of the ground over the summer and autumn into one of the best and most welcomed facilities in the area. The glitches and issues that are bound to arise in such a project were all dealt with positively and now we have a playing facility that is already being well used by the Academy and the local community clubs.

“TigerTurf and McArdle Sport Tec were appointed via the Football Foundation AGP Supplier Framework to construct the new pitch at Green Lane in Devizes. The project is a joint venture between Wiltshire FA and Devizes Town Council.

Despite what was a testing winter construction period, the project was delivered on programme and to a high standard.

Throughout the construction period there has been very open communication with the team that has enabled any challenges to be dealt with quickly and efficiently – minimising impact on the local community.

The pitch is due to open May 2020 and will be used by hundreds of people from Devizes and the surrounding community.”

“Cheshire East Council have recently taken transfer of the Alsager Sports Hub, a multi-sport outdoor site delivered as part of a Section 106 Agreement with David Wilson Homes. The pitches, both grass and artificial and wider grounds elements were delivered on behalf of the developer by McArdle Sport Tec.

The completed project is of a very high specification, with the artificial pitches (both football and hockey) being constructed to National Governing Body accreditation levels.”
