The Mayor of Woodley Visited One of Our Sites

We were very lucky to have been visited by the Mayor of Woodley, Councillor Dave Mills.

Woodley Town Council were awarded a grant to help their dream of installing a 3G pitch at Woodford Park Leisure Centre a reality. The £510,000 grant received from the Premier League and Football Association Facilities Fund covers 50% of the new pitch construction project. McArdle Sport Tec Ltd and TigerTurf (UK) Ltd were awarded the project after submitting a competitive tender for the work.

The project started in March 2016 and includes:

Installation of a 3G Artificial Grass Pitch which can be divided in to three smaller 5 a-side pitches for training. The pitch will have a secure enclosure complete with acoustic board fencing and floodlighting.

Resurfacing of 1 existing tennis court providing a brand new playing surface for Tennis and Netball. The remaining tennis courts, which are in poor condition, will be removed and the space used to create an additional 55 parking spaces for visitors to the Centre.

Resurfacing of the existing Leisure Centre car park.

The site was visited by the Mayor of Woodley, Councillor Dave Mills, once the site works had commenced.
